In the early 1990s Israel brought in hundreds of thousands of african immigrants to help with the expansion of many major cities. After the expansion was complete many if not most of the workers stayed claiming to have jewish relatives do to Israel law if they had jewish relatives in their blood line they could stay. but of course this was a long process which had pretty much failed. they stayed because of the stability there old governments didn't have many fleeing apartheid in south Africa and other troubles like the instability in Sudan . this pull factor and the past push factor are manly the reason for such a huge boom in population but the journey these people make to go from Africa to Israel is incredibly difficult with reports f overly violent border patrol incidences including death over 85 people have been shot and killed since 2007 and the dangerous task of crossing the Sinai dessert before crossing the Egyptian boarder. this dessert is claimed as one of the most inhospitable places on earth.but the promises of even small paying jobs which Israel has plenty of is enough for these people to make this incredible journey. but the Israel government is also worried about a dense over population and is taking measures to defend from immigrants a wall that spans the entire boarder is the main form of defense. but this could also be a bad thing as almost the entire hotel business in Israel relays on a sturdy source of employment. this could lead to a decline in population but also a decline in one of Israelis major economic sources, the small jobs that come from working in hotels and fast food etc.. will have one source of cheap employment that in turn could lead to a major economic down fall!
